My Doll House

This is my Barbie sized house.
This is my Barbie sized house.

This is the dollhouse that my husband bought me for Christmas in 2012. Most of the time I use to display my Tammy family and Tressy’s but because the graphics are so nice I sometimes evict them and use it as a background for photographing other dolls.

Becky is one of my favourite Barbie Basics, you have met her before in “Ladies In Red“. She will be your guide around the house while she shows off some of her wardrobe.

Let’s start in the kitchen.

Barbie Basics can wear vintage Barbie fashions so in the kitchen Becky is wearing a vintage dress and apron.

Next, we move to the living area upstairs. Here Becky is dressed in an older Fashion Avenue outfit, also a good fit.

The  windows are just holes, I’m thinking about whether I can make some curtains that would look natural. In the evening Becky wears another vintage Barbie dress.

Although I like the graphics I don’t really care for the pink bedroom much but Becky likes it. It’s roomy enough to use for a sewing room too.

Every fashion doll needs a walk in wardrobe and the sewing machine makes for a nice touch. I’ve never put a lot of furniture into the house because I think it looks better when you can see the graphics.

This concludes our tour. I believe Hubby bought the house from Deals Direct  but I have seen similar houses at other online and brick and mortar stores. Some have staircases which I would have quite liked.”The big hand from the sky” is the only way for dolls to get upstairs.
