Francie
This is one of my Francie dolls. She is one of two vintage Francie dolls that I have. The other is a reproduction doll that I will show later. She is still boxed. Francie is wearing an original outfit called Gypsy Spirit from 1970. A photo of this outfit can be found at http://www.dollreference.com There are a lot of good photos of vintage Barbie doll outfits on this page with the date of manufacture for those who have not come across this site before. I think Francie looks pretty cool in her get up although I would have liked her to have had a pair of white boots instead of the shoes.

Love the outfit, even the shoes.The plush fabric and vibrant colors suit her perfectly.I think when I dress Skippers boyfriend it will be in mod clothes. They remind me of Brady bunch & Donny & Marie shows.

Mod clothes are such fun to dress dolls in. I’ll look out for some Francie sized boots for her.

Francie dolls have such sweet faces. The outfit is in beautiful condition, although I agree that white boots would be nice alternative. I love the names Mattel gave to the vintage clothes – Gypsy Spirit is so perfect for that era.
