Moving On

I was wondering if I would ever write this post. I have finally, after all these months, sold my house. In just over three weeks I’ll be packing up all the dolls and moving to a new home.

The revamped area.

That’s the other bit of news. We found a house we like and we bought it. How about that?

Our new house is at a place appropriately called Sisters Beach. It is on the north-west coast of Tasmania. The nearest large towns are Wynyard and the port city of Burnie. The house has four bedrooms and while it will be a squeeze we hope to get all our dolls, teddies and toys set up in their own area. We’ll also have to find homes for our other collections so we’ll be pretty busy even though Naomi is not bringing all her stuff at once.

Of course, this means that blogging will be taking a back seat. I probably won’t have the internet on at the new house right away. I’m going to try and prepare a few posts in advance and Naomi will probably do some while I’m out of contact but if we miss posting please bear with us.

  1. Congratulations on selling your house and finding a new place to live! Sisters Beach sounds like the perfect location. So exciting to be starting a new chapter of your life. Best wishes!.

  2. When I moved from my longtime abode, it was a time of upheaval and renewal. How time has flown by and I couldn’t be happier in my new home! How about a photo story series involving sisters moving in together? I nominate Becky and her sibling.

  3. Congratulations on the move, I bet you’re glad it’s finally coming together. It will be interesting seeing all your dolls and other collections together. I hope it all goes well for you both and good luck in the new home .

    • No Laurel. It is up on the northwest coast of Tasmania. Three and a half hours drive from Naomi’s house and about five from mine. About as far away from here as it is possible to be and still be in Tasmania.
