It was only when I went into my Dashboard to check who I’d used for Fashion Doll Friday recently that I realised that my last post was number 1,000. That’s a thousand posts Naomi and I have created in 7 years.
I decided that for 1,001 I would feature dolls of colour who are a small but much-loved part of my collection that you don’t see so often.
Wow, congratulations on your 1001st post! Here’s to the next 1000! What a lovely collection of dolls of colour, beautiful fashion dolls and cute babies and children. I have quite a few dolls of colour including Sindy’s black friend Gayle. It’s good to have diversity, it can get boring when all dolls look the same. Mattel’s Fashionistas are great for choice but would be much better with more pose able bodies.

I agree, I think those of us who like to photograph dolls especially enjoy posability.

Congratulations on your 1,001 post! That’s certainly an awesome milestone. Your collection of dolls of colour is wonderful. I especially like the expression on the 40th Anniversary Barbie’s face. She looks so serene and kind.

What a wonderful achievement! Congratulations.
Thanks for showcasing your African-American dolls and dolls of color. I really like the Ken you have.
We are having some unfortunate times here in the US centering on race right now. I am glad that in the doll world, all dolls are welcome.
