Today’s Friday Girl is another Swirl Ponytail Barbie. This one belongs to Naomi. She bought her on our last trip to Penguin Market before Covid-19 temporarily closed it down. Her hair had been cut a little bit so I wasn’t able to completely fix her hair but it’s not too bad. I left Naomi a selection of outfits to choose from for her and she picked this one.
It’s always nice to see one of these vintage Barbie dolls. They make me think of the era when women (and men) dressed up even to go grocery shopping. Naomi’s Barbie looks like she’s ready for an evening out in this lovely fashion. She’s in very good condition. Maybe you could curl her ponytail to hide the uneven bits.

I haven’t tried that yet. I may do it with one of my own first.

I got her for ten bucks. She was in a pile of fairly ordinary Barbies.I spotted her from quite a distance and could not believe my luck. With a tidy up and a glam outfit she looks great.

You do have a good eye for finding vintage Barbies for next to nothing. There is very little wrong with this one.

I had that gorgeous gold dress for my Barbie back in the 1960s! I loved seeing this.
