Today’s Friday Guy is one of the few male dolls from the 180. He is from the Barbie movie ‘The Island Princess” and is given the name Prince Antonio. Note that it doesn’t say Ken as Prince Antonio.

This face sculpt was used for several Ken’s around the mid 2000’s Naomi has a blonde one who was a surfer dude. I think this was the beginning of Mattel going back to molded hair Ken dolls which we were rather sorry about. It’s a lot harder to restyle them to look different if you can’t change the hair.

This Ken has the basic straight arm body, the older style one, not the later Basics body. I think his face is quite nice with his full lips and blue eyes and I like the two-tone hair. We were lucky to get him with his original outfit too.
